Reading Disabilities and Language Disorders
When
reading disabilities and language disorders get in the way of learning,
the results can be frustrating for both the children and their parents.
If
allowed to continue, without training the necessary skills to achieve
successfully, reading disabilities and language disorders can cause individuals to begin to withdraw from
participation in school and education.

The
effects of such withdrawal, of course, can be seen in a child's low self-esteem,
eroded confidence and an overall negative academic experience.
The
Learning Connection was founded for the sole purpose of
solving the underlying root problems that keep students from achieving
at their top potential.
Corrective Action for Learning
Difficulties
Parents of children with learning difficulties involving reading
disabilities and language disorders may be surprised to learn that many
of these earning disorders can be significantly corrected.
Typically, the process involves an initial screening followed by the
development and implementation of an exercise/developmental training regimen.
Perhaps
your child has been diagnosed with one of several types of problems
such as Dyslexia, Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) or Attention Deficit
Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). Or, perhaps your child has been
diagnosed with language delay or low
visual memory. You may even have tried numerous academic programs only
to experience minimal results.
Difficulties with math problems, poor
handwriting, poor spelling, a short attention span, low reading
comprehension, and visible low self-esteem, may actually arise from your child's inability to process written information.
That is, the neurological process that permits learning to occur may
not be fully developed in your child.
Underlying
Root Problems that Stunt Potential
The
first step to correcting reading disabilities and language disorders is
understanding the underlying problems that cause reading disabilities
and language disorders.
Most
conventional programs are designed to help struggling students by
prescribing tutoring, remedial reading, or other educational approaches.
